Guidelines for Funding OSS Development

In order to help familiarize funding organizations and others with the unique characteristics of open source software development, Open Tech Strategies has prepared “Guidelines for Funding Open Source Software Development.” These Guidelines, among other things, focus on some of the problems that are often encountered in the early stages of the funding process and also highlight the widely-recognized benefits of an open source approach. The Guidelines may also be instructive for others involved with open source software development.
