The Arches software development team is now completing version 3.0 of Arches and a new Arches application called the HIP (Heritage Inventory Package). They are currently finishing development of the data entry forms for the HIP and documentation for both Arches v3.0 and the HIP. We expect the final version of both Arches v3.0 and the HIP v1.0 by mid-April 2015. We strongly suggest that you wait to install v3.0 instead of working with v2.0.
In the meantime, if you are interested in previewing the software code for v3.0, please visit the Arches version 3.0 repository on Bitbucket:

Keep in mind that the latest version of Arches, prior to the official release of v3.0, may be unstable and is probably not appropriate for production use without thorough testing.
